NEWS YOU NEED TO KNOW: The pre-license Real Estate Salesperson classroom hours increased to forty (40) hours effective June 1, 2011, based on legislation (Senate Bill 121) signed by the Governor on August 11, 2010. You can read the full text on the Mass.gov site as Chapter 307 of the Acts of 2010 .

The current regulation allows the candidate who completed all of their classroom requirements prior to June 1, 2011, up to 24 months to take and pass the state exam from the date that they completed their classroom instruction.
